Early + Educational Background

I was born and grew up in Southern California. I received a softball scholarship at Vanguard University for two years. During my time at Vanguard University, I volunteered at a girls’ youth group on a weekly basis. I transferred to California State University at Fullerton and received a degree in Liberal Studies.

Professional Background

My very first job was umpiring for girls’ softball while I was in high school. I then worked four years as a Recreational Leader for the City of Costa Mesa in one of their elementary school’s after-school programs and Camp Costa Mesa program.

Years + Role at Creative Support

I’ve worked with Creative Support since 2008 as an Instructor for five years and Supported Living Coordinator for four years. This is my third year as a Manager.

Why This Field

My true passion is helping others in the community. When I was given the opportunity to work with Creative Support, I knew I found the perfect job for me. Being able to make a positive impact on other people’s lives is exhilarating and inspiring. The people we support deserve exceptional services and I feel fortunate to be part of the team to support them at reaching their goals. Each day is different and each person we support is unique in their own way, so new challenges are always present, and I am grateful for those meaningful experiences.

What is something you do with your spare time?

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed nature, especially visiting national parks. I’ve camped in Yosemite National Park on four occasions. I stayed in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. I’ve visited beautiful Zion along with Bryce Canyon National Park. I’ve camped in Joshua Tree National Park several times. My most recent trip was camping in Yellowstone National Park for five days. Yellowstone was my favorite trip yet! Next on the list is visiting either the Grand Tetons or Death Valley. I’m enamored by breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife. I enjoy hiking, exploring, sunsets, sunrises, campfires, and spending quality time with friends and family.
